The Louvre Museum in Paris had a pretty wild situation go down this past Sunday. According to the French daily Le Figaro, they received a bomb threat targeting none other than the Mona Lisa and some other super important masterpieces. Yeah, you heard me right!

Apparently, this threat came in through the museum’s website, written in English and signed by someone calling themselves “Founding Fathers of the Confederation.” Sounds like a movie plot, right? Well, it’s real. The Louvre didn’t take this lightly, though. They filed a complaint with the police, citing a serious “threat of attack.” And guess what? The museum confirmed the whole thing to the French news outlet.

Oh, and get this – the signature they used? It’s a nod to those folks who represented the colonies of British North America back in the 19th century. Like, what’s that got to do with anything, right?

Now, when the Louvre got wind of this, they didn’t mess around. They called in the active defense and security agent of the Ministry of Culture to search the whole place. They combed through every nook and cranny, but thankfully, they didn’t find anything suspicious.

The alarms went off, visitors were rushed out, and the police did their whole search routine. Luckily, they didn’t find anything then either.
So, yeah, just another day in the life of these iconic Paris landmarks, I guess. But seriously, let’s hope they catch whoever’s behind this and put an end to these shenanigans once and for all.
